After a long time, a opportunity official Notification for RSEB JE has been released on 29 January 2025 by Government of Rajasthan in Rajasthan State Electricity Board for the recruitment of Junior engineer ion different electricity department of Rajasthan. This Vacancy contains major vacancies for junior engineer electrical. The Detailed Notification has been released for RSEB RVUNL JE Recruitment for 234 Junior engineer vacancies for different department i.e. Electrical, Mechanical, C&I/Communication, Fire & Safety, out of which 196 vacancies are for Junior Engineer Electrical.

There will be a negative marking of ¼ marks of the marks allotted to each question for each incorrect answer. Both Part A & Part B are separately timed. Candidate can attempt any question in allotted 60 minutes for the respective part. Candidate will not be able to attempt any question from Part B while attempting Part A and vice versa.

The duration of the test is 2 hours or 120 minutes.

Part A will include questions related to the subjects studied in their Degree of Engineering.

Part B will be in Bilingual except General Hindi and General English.

General Hindi will be in “Hindi only” and General English will be in “English only”.

RSEB JE Syllabus 2025 for Electrical Engineering

1. Electrical Circuits: Ohm’s Law, Kirchhoff’s Laws, AC & DC Circuits (Phasor representation, Impedance, Reactance, Resonance, etc.), Circuit Theorems (Superposition Theorem, Thevenin's Theorem, Norton’s Theorem, Maximum Power Transfer Theorem, etc.), Transient Response (RL, RC, RLC Circuits), Network Analysis Techniques (Mesh and Nodal Analysis, Laplace Transforms, etc.), Power Factor, Power and Energy in AC and DC Circuits, Two-port Network and Parameters, Graph Theory.

2. Field Theory: Electromagnetic Fields (Electrostatics, Magnetostatics, Maxwell’s Equations, etc.), Transmission Lines (Wave Propagation, Reflection, Impedance Matching, Transmission Line Equations), Electromagnetic Waves (Wave Propagation, Polarization, Guided Waves), Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Shielding.

3. Electrical Materials: Conducting Materials, Insulating Materials, Magnetic Materials, Semiconductor Materials, Dielectric Materials, Magnetic Circuits and Materials, Electrical Power Cables, Electrical Accessories and Components, Testing and Measuring Instruments, Engineering Materials for Electrical Power Systems.

4. Electrical Measurement: Measurement of Electrical Quantities (Voltage, Current, Power, Energy), Measuring Instruments (Ammeter, Voltmeter, Wattmeter, Energy Meter, Tong Tester), Electronic Instruments (Digital Voltmeters, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes), Bridges (Wheatstone Bridge, Maxwell’s Bridge, Schering Bridge, etc.), Transducers (Temperature, Pressure, Flow Measurement Devices), Error Analysis and Calibration.

5. Signals and System: Classification of Signals, Classification of Systems, Fourier Series & Fourier Transform, Laplace Transform, Z-Transform, Sampling Theorem, Filter Design, Time Domain and Frequency Domain Analysis.

6. Analog Electronics: Semiconductor Theory, Diodes and Applications, Transistors, Amplifiers, Oscillators, Biasing of Transistors, Frequency Response and Filters, Diode and Transistor Applications.

7. Digital Electronics: Number Systems (Binary, Octal, Hexadecimal), Logic Gates (AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, XOR), Boolean Algebra and Simplification, Combinational Circuits (Adders, Multiplexers, Decoders), Sequential Circuits (Flip-Flops, Counters, Registers), Analog to Digital Conversion (ADC, DAC), Microprocessors and Microcontrollers (Basic Architecture, Programming).

8. Control System: Basic Control System Concepts (Open and Closed Loop Control, Transfer Function, Block Diagrams, Feedback, etc.), Stability of Control Systems (Routh-Hurwitz Criterion, Root Locus, Nyquist Plot, Bode Plot, etc.), Time-Domain Analysis (Impulse Response, Step Response, etc.), Controllers and Compensators (PID Controller, Lead-Lag Compensation), State-Space Representation.

9. Electrical Machines: DC Machines (Construction, Operation, Types of Motors and Generators, Characteristics, Applications, etc.), Transformers (Principle, Construction, Types, Losses, Efficiency, Voltage Regulation, Auto-transformers), Synchronous Machines (Alternators, Synchronization, Power Factor Control, Voltage Regulation, etc.), Induction Motors (Principle, Working, Characteristics, Speed Control, Starting Methods, Faults), Special Motors (Stepper Motor, Synchronous Motor, etc.), Single-phase Motors (Induction Motor, Capacitor Start and Split-phase Motors, etc.), Generator Theory (EMF Equation, Performance Analysis).
