The Assam Public Service Commission has released notification (ADVT.NO.05/2025) for the recruitment for the 650 posts for “Junior Engineer (Civil) under the joint cadre of Public Works Department (PWRD) & Public Works (Building & NH) Department”. The Candidate having regular 3-year diploma in civil engineering/Civil Engineering & Planning / Construction Technology from any technical institute recognized by AICTE is eligible to apply for the post. APSC Junior Engineer is a prestigious job and offering a decent pay scale of Rs. 14,000 /-  to Rs. 70,000/-  in a Pay Band – 2 . The Department Scale of Pay Consists of Pay scale (Rs. 14,000 /-  to Rs. 70,000/-) + Grade pay (Rs. 8700/-) + Other allowances as admissible to the Assam State Government employees from time to time (per month).

APSC JE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• The candidate must be an Indian citizen as defined in article 5 to 8 of the constitution of India and must be a resident of Assam.
• Candidate need to upload a copy of valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam.

APSC JE Age Criteria

For applying for the post, a candidate must be not less than 21 year of age and not more than 40 year of age as on 01-01-2025; and other upper age relaxation according to government rules for this refer to the official notification on the APSC website. The age limit of the candidate will be Calculated on the basis of Class-X/ Class-XII Examination Admit Card / Pass Certificate / Marksheet issued by a recognized Central / State Board/ Council where Age/Date of Birth(DOB) is clearly reflected.
